Kevin Doran

Kevin joined BPPA in June 2006 and heads up BPPA’s Brussels office.

Kevin previously managed the Brussels office of the British Medical Association (BMA), representing the interests of UK doctors on legislation such as the Services Directive, the Working Time Directive and the Mutual Recognition of Qualifications Directive. He was the BMA’s EU Liaison Officer for three and a half years.

For three years, Kevin was parliamentary adviser to Alan Donnelly MEP, then leader of the European Parliament’s Labour Party. He was also a public affairs consultant to the Alliance of Maritime Regional Interests in Europe (AMRIE) in Brussels, promoting AMRIE positions on EU maritime policy and building a network of sponsoring MEPs.

Kevin has worked for two Government ministers in the UK. He acted as a PR consultant to Liverpool City Council as it prepared its bid for the title of European Capital of Culture 2008 and promoted a Joint Venture with BT to modernise its customer delivery systems.
