Claire joined Bell Pottinger Public Affairs in September 2010, after working for more than five years as a senior adviser on energy and climate change in the Conservative Party’s Parliamentary Resources Unit. At Westminster, she drafted speeches and provided briefings on legislation, including the Climate Change Act 2008, for Conservative ministers and MPs.  She also helped to assemble the party’s energy policies.

Claire is a member of the executive committee of the Conservative Environment Network.

In September – October 2010, Claire took part in a US international visitors and leadership programme, studying energy security, clean energy and alternative fuels in Washington DC, North Carolina, Colorado and California.
