Consultant
Paul joined Bell Pottinger Public Affairs as a consultant in November 2010 having previously worked for the Liberal Democrats as a parliamentary researcher to Vince Cable MP and, later, as a party fundraiser.
He worked in parliament on legislation including the Banking Act 2009, Financial Services Act, Fiscal Responsibility Act, Terrorist Asset-Freezing Act, and successive Finance Acts. He prepared responses to Budgets and Pre-Budget Reports, supported Dr Cable’s press responsibilities during the 2010 general election, and successfully campaigned for compensation on behalf of Equitable Life policy holders. With experience of the finance sector and government tax and spending, Paul’s clients include financial services and major infrastructure providers.
Paul has a degree in history from the University of Hull and is currently studying for a Masters from Birkbeck, University of London.
