Director
Emma joined Bell Pottinger Public Affairs as a Director in March 2008 to head up the property, planning and community engagement unit. Emma specialises in local government, property and planning and advising property developers on how to approach local politics and engage with the community when submitting a planning application.
Emma’s current portfolio includes advising ASDA, First Base, Berkeley Homes and the Hanly Group. Before joining Bell Pottinger, Emma spent three and a half years at Four Communications where she advised a number of major property developers including Barratt Homes, London Merchant Securities, Minerva, Capital & Counties and Multiplex. Many of the schemes Emma has been involved with have required far-reaching political and community engagement to find support, often where there had previously been opposition.
Aside from planning, Emma played a key role in launching the All Party Parliamentary Climate Change Group on behalf of The CarbonNeutral Company and also worked with ExCeL London on developing their CSR programme. She is also involved in local Conservative politics in South West London.
