Matt joined BPPA in May 2004. He was appointed to Senior Consultant in February 2007. As such he makes sure clients are briefed on the implications of developments relevant to their interests, runs stakeholder mapping and audits, and delivers high level contact programmes to support their public affairs strategies.
Matt’s current clients include industry leaders from the food, drink, betting and gaming sectors as well as a non-departmental public body.
Matt also gained valuable experience having advised a foreign private equity firm on how best to manage political communications around a potentially high profile bid for an iconic British brand.
His main area of expertise is in public health, particularly in regard to the current obesity debate, having advised a number of companies in this sector such Kellogg’s.
Matt has responsibility for the everyday handling of accounts, including keeping clients abreast of policy developments and political issues relevant to their interests, stakeholder mapping and auditing, and delivering high level contact programmes.
