Liam joined BPPA in May 2003. Liam provides senior counsel to organisations on how best to map, manage and strengthen their reputations among political audiences. He works with blue chip clients in the food and drink, alcohol, public health, healthcare, IT infrastructure and financial services sectors. He has helped eBay manage regulatory interest in ticket sales; Kellogg’s manage their involvement in the debate around diet and healthy lifestyles; the drinks industry to lobby on duty and retail regulation; and pharmaceutical companies communicate their contribution to UK economy and society.
Before joining BPPA 2003, Liam spent four years at Weber Shandwick/GJW (1999-2003) where he worked with a wide range of organisations as well as designing a public affairs training programme for junior recruits. Previously, he was a consultant at The Public Affairs Company (1995-1999). Before entering political consultancy, Liam worked in the offices of Rt Hon Chris Smith MP (national heritage in 1995) and Rt Hon Jack Straw MP (environment portfolio in 1993). He also worked in the US Congress for Democrat Representative Tom Sawyer in 1992.
