With over 14 years in consultancy, Luke specialises in advising companies and prominent individuals on their reputational and communications challenges. Examples include the former Prime Minister of Thailand on media handling in the UK, the Nigerian President Ura’Adua on his election campaign, as well as heads of state on their official visits to the UK. He also advises the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia, Trafigura and Emirates Airline.

Luke’s sector specialism is the defence industry. He received the Chairman’s Award for improving BAE Systems’ reputation within Government and has advised firms on procurement projects with the MoD, including The Future Defence Supply Chain Initiative and Elta on the ‘Watchkeeper’.

A former Army officer, Luke was an aide to US Army General Peter Schoomaker, the former head of the US Army and Press Officer for the UN in Bosnia. As well as his role at BPPA Luke is also a Major in the MoD’s tactical Media Operations Group.

Whilst working at the Press Complaints Commission, Luke also served on the Government’s Home Office Crisis Media Forum.

Luke has handled crisis communications for a number of clients including Sporting Bet, the British Red Cross and the Dubai Islamic Bank and has helped leading organisations prepare for major Select Committee appearances.
