BPPA has significant experience in the health sector.  As well as being closely involved in public policy debates around food, health and well-being, our current experience includes insupporting ABHI / Advamed on their lobby to reform the procurement of medical devices in the NHS. ABHI / Advamed want to secure a number of reforms to the procurement process to allow for a better consideration of the ‘whole life value’ of medical devices and to ensure transparency and accountability in the decision making process. BPPA are assisting ABHI / Advamed to engage with key stakeholders both within and outside Whitehall to ensure that the support Professor Darzi has recently outlined for medical devices is realized through an effective and high performing procurement regime.

BPPA also works with Diabetes UK, supporting their communications as an active participant in the debate on the role of the third sector in the commissioning of services.

We provide BUPA with strategic advice on how it should position itself with senior figures in Government and the wider political community on the restructuring of NHS finances and employee share ownership.

We are also assisting a private sector company, Inov8, to develop political messaging and a political contact programme on MRSA.
