Bell Pottinger Public Affairs (BPPA), part of the Bell Pottinger Group, has made a number of new changes and hires to strengthen further its team.
From 1st February, director of Big Brother Watch and former chief of staff to David Cameron, Alex Deane, joins as a Director. Under Alex’s direction, Big Brother Watch produced reports on a number of issues including the DNA database, covert surveillance by councils, data chips in dustbins, and CCTV. His campaigns involved lobbying all of the political parties and appearing regularly on radio and television.
Dan Conway is also joining BPPA as a Consultant. Previously he worked at healthcare specialists Advocate, and the Thames Gateway Partnership. He played a key role in Glenda Jackson's successful general election campaign in May 2010.
Former Liberal Democrat Senior Adviser Stephen Lotinga has also been promoted to Director and will lead BPPA’s successful Consumer Health and Lifestyle Unit. Stephen has further strengthened BPPA’s Liberal Democrat credentials, working alongside Director Neil Stockley, widely regarded as one of the most respected Liberal Democrat consultants in the public affairs industry.
